About
An analytical chemist by profession, John is a Chartered Chemist (CChem) and Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC). He joined the Royal Photographic Society in 2014 and opened his first studio in December 2016.
Scottish Photography
When in Scotland, John works primarily as a landscape, street, environmental and content creation photographer.
Japanese Photography
John regularly travels to Japan where he works on several long-term fine art projects.
With almost 11,000 images of Japan in his archive, John is arguably Scotland's specialist Japan photographer. If you need to buy or licence an image of Japan, get in touch.

John offers a range of photographic services including commercial content creation, portraiture and event photography. He offers tuition on a group or 1:1 basis and organises photography tours to and from Japan and Scotland.
His fine art work has been exhibited across the UK.
